The worldwide solid oxide fuel cell market is expected to reach almost 350M US$ by 2008.
HTceramix has started to deliver SOFC stacks to system integrators who are integrating the stacks, with the aim to have a commercial product by 2007.
HTceramix' strategic technology will offer a unique opportunity to aim for the world's largest commodity market. In fact, the electricity market, which accounts for over US$ 660 billion sales per year, is recently entering a phase of real paradigm change. With the decentralization of electricity production and increasing environmental concerns, SOFC technology is primarily dedicated to efficient and direct conversion of readily available fuels like natural gas and diesel. Furthermore, it is best suited to produce electricity from biogas, a subset of biomass. Biomass is estimated to account for 10% of Europe's renewable energy sources in 2005.
